ABOUT HARISH IYER

With over a decade of experience, I specialise in distributed software development of distributed applications, spanning various domains, technologies, and frameworks. I like learning new skills, exploring new challenges, and collaborating with diverse teams. I have worked on projects involving Go, Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript (React), Java, SQL, Oracle, AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud and more. I have also completed my MSc in Advanced Computer Science, focused on AI, machine learning, deep learning (master\'s thesis), and data analysis.As a Senior Software Engineer at Anaeko, I develop cloud-native solutions for IBM Cloud VPC Regional Storage Orchestration Service using Golang, Kubernetes, and microservices. I have over two years of experience in this role. I am responsible for developing features and creating metrics, alerts, and automated runbooks for RSOS and other IBM Cloud applications. Before joining Anaeko, I was a KEEP+ Software Developer at the University of Hertfordshire & OrxaGrid Ltd, where I worked on a European Union-funded project and achieved milestones to improve the scalability and security of the OrxaGrid system. I contributed to the front-end development of a low-carbon planning app using ReactJS, integrating component libraries such as Google Maps, Chart.js and High-charts. I developed a Single Line Diagram (simplified representation of an electrical system) editor application to create and edit power grid diagrams and view live IoT data. I have previously led a team of 4 in solving L3 production issues (root cause analysis and fixing defects) for Amdocs Enterprise Telecom Ordering and CRM/BSS applications that integrate with applications like provisioning, resource management, billing, etc. As an ADM team, my team supported 7+ Major releases and 10+ Monthly Maintenance releases.I have research interests in UX Design, Machine learning, AI, NLP, and HCI.
