About Hithesh Rai Purushothama

I’m a AIE MSE student at Arizona State University passionate about developing the next generation of energy and semiconductor technologies. My research bridges perovskite photovoltaics, alphavoltaic devices, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) integrating materials science, power systems, and intelligent computing.I have hands-on experience in fabricating high-efficiency perovskite thin films using spin coating, blade coating, Atomic layer deposition, and thermal evaporation, and performing solar cell characterization through optical and electrical analysis. My recent work at EPFL’s Photovoltaics Lab and Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin’s Quantum Materials Group strengthened my expertise in device integration, structural characterization, and stability optimization for wide bandgap materials.Beyond the lab, I design AI-driven and energy-efficient computing solutions using Different framework, focusing on edge AI and embedded systems (Jetson, Raspberry Pi). My capstone project integrates PV + BESS modeling with anomaly detection, emphasizing data-driven energy management and grid reliability.Recognized with the ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship, Purdue SURF, and FURI Grant, I’m passionate about translating research into scalable innovations for clean energy and advanced semiconductor applications.Areas of interest:• Photovoltaic & semiconductor R&D• Energy storage and power systems modeling• Edge AI for sustainable technologies• Materials innovation for optoelectronics and reliabilityAlways open to research collaborations and industry roles that combine AI, materials science, and renewable energy to build a more efficient and sustainable future.
