Hitesha Mukherjee is an accomplished AI researcher, innovator, and community leader who has dedicated her career to leveraging technology for healthcare, inclusivity, and global good. With a MSR in Artificial Intelligence and Medical Image Processing from she has built a strong foundation at the intersection of medical research and cutting-edge AI. Her thesis, in collaboration with NIMHANS, Bangalore, focused on analyzing digital histopathology images for meningioma classification, an early step in her journey toward transforming cancer diagnostics with machine learning. Her work has received international recognition, including a poster presentation at the EMBS Conference, selection of research use case publication at the AI for Good Global Summit July 2025, and invitations to prestigious academic programs such as the (OxML 2024) and the University of Chicago & UCL data science summer schools. She is also a recipient of competitive scholarships from PyData, ODSC, and GHCI, further solidifying her reputation as an emerging thought leader in AI & healthcare.Hitesha is equally passionate about building inclusive communities in technology. As a Google Women Techmakers Ambassador and Advanced Inclusion Scholar at GHCI 2024, she advocates for diversity and equitable opportunities in STEM. She has moderated leadership panels at PyCon India 2024, anchored PyLadies meetups, & actively mentors aspiring technologists, particularly women and underrepresented groups. Her leadership extends to organizing major platforms like TEDx reflecting her belief that technology should be as much about people & ideas as it is about innovation.She has participated in and been recognized at events like the Flipkart Grid Challenge, Thoughtworks Hackathon etc. where her climate awareness app was shortlisted as a finalist.
