ABOUT SARA HIRSCHLER

With over 15 years of experience in marketing and communications, I am a creative catalyst who loves to build community and make big ideas come to life. I\'ve recently been supporting Plant Powered Metro New York, an amazing organization which empowers people to find better health and overcome chronic disease through whole food, plant-based nutrition.I started a Media Aware Parents group at our public school to bring parents together to share their struggles, successes and hopes around safe tech use for our kids. I am also the co-leader for the Manhattan chapter of Mothers Against Media Addiction.Before we moved to New York and for almost 9 years, I led the communications and marketing strategy for Fairmount Park Conservancy, a non-profit that stewards and activates Philadelphia\'s parks. I grew the membership program from 100 to people, organized over 60 events per year, and launched a volunteer ambassador program. I also managed and collaborated with external consultants and partners, including Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, and fostered an efficient internal team.My strengths include brand and communications strategy development, project and team management, community organizing, and advocacy. I have a MBA in marketing from Drexel University\'s LeBow College of Business, and I speak fluent Hungarian and elementary Spanish. In March of 2024, I earned a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center of Nutrition Studies and eCornell. I am also a mom of two rambunctious boys, a nature lover, a former Junior Olympian jump roper, and a big fan of I Huckabees.
