ABOUT HIROMI TAKAYAMA

Driven by a strong interest in investment banking, private equity, and consulting, I’m pursuing a Master in Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where I’m building on my academic foundation in economics and psychology from Emory University.My experience spans both analytical research and strategic execution. At Emory, I led a behavioral economics research analyzing how consumer personality traits, perceived hassle, and policy designs can influence consumers\' excessive return behaviors. I constructed behavioral models, conducted statistical analysis, and translated findings into actionable recommendations—skills I believe to be highly transferrable to the diligence and analytical framework required in investment evaluation. Additionally, during my time at AmCan Group, I supported cross-border investment projects by conducting market research, taking initiative to execute strategic market expansion in Atlanta, and leveraged my multilingualism to translate a business development plan for international partners. This experience has not only sharpened my skills in market analysis and the due diligence process but also communicating complex ideas to diverse clients.Right now, I’m exploring opportunities in investment banking, private equity, and consulting. I am particularly drawn to the analytical rigor, high-impact work, and the collaborative problem-solving nature of these fields.
