ABOUT HIROMITSU HIRO HARIMOTO
I am a PhD student at the University of Cambridge, specializing in stem cell biology at the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute. My academic journey began at the University of California, Berkeley, where I earned a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. This foundation paved the way for impactful research experiences, including undergraduate work in structural biology (Martin Lab), developing CAR-T cell therapy platforms at a Church lab startup, and exploring innovative gene delivery systems at the Koch Institute (Knouse Lab).My research interests span biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, and the interface of machine learning and artificial intelligence with biological systems. Beyond the lab, I am passionate about fostering connections between science, business, and society. As Vice President of CURASCOPIUM, I work to make science accessible, particularly for individuals with visual impairments.I am eager to collaborate with individuals who share a vision for advancing science and making a tangible impact. Let’s connect to discuss research, entrepreneurship, or the wonders of life itself.
