ABOUT SEAN WEISENBURGER
I work at the intersection of AI systems and the real world. My career has focused on deploying emerging technologies in operational environments — from AI-powered retail checkout systems to large-scale training data collection used by machine learning models. Currently I support AI data operations with Fuel AI, where I design and execute field capture missions that generate structured training datasets used for computer vision and automation models. This work involves capturing real-world retail environments, building planogram-based dataset structures, and helping translate messy physical environments into structured data that machine learning models can learn from.Before working in AI data operations, I helped deploy computer vision retail systems with Mashgin, supporting the rollout of AI-powered checkout technology across multiple markets. I’ve also worked on large-scale operational deployments including mobility infrastructure and emerging retail technologies. My background sits at the intersection of: • AI training data operations • Computer vision datasets • Retail planogram intelligence • Field deployment of AI systems • Technology adoption in real-world environments What interests me most about AI is the challenge of connecting machine learning systems to the complexity of the physical world. I’m particularly interested in the future of AI data marketplaces, computer vision infrastructure, and real-world dataset generation.
