I\'m an Engineering Manager leading Asana\'s Design System team, where we build flexible UI primitives that empower cross-functional product teams. With a passion for user-centered design, I advocate for treating design systems as internal products focused on exceptional user experiences.Previously at VMware Tanzu and Pivotal, I managed teams building cloud infrastructure solutions and led product development teams, especially during my time at Pivotal Labs in San Francisco and Sydney. I have experience across diverse domains - from distributed systems to internal tools and APIs.I thrive in environments that value continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and putting people first. When not building software, I explore the intersection of technology and liberal arts through reading, writing, and discussions.    Recently started managing the R&D team responsible for consumption-based billing and licensing across all of Asana’s existing and emerging products, like AI Studio- I’ve managed teams of engineers across a wide range of experience and specialties while collaborating closely with design and product, and across departments and teams. These include the Design System team and another team building Asana’s marketing website- I build healthy teams including hiring engineers, leads, and cross-functional partners, while also navigating internal transfers, performance challenges, and structural challenges with empathy and intentionality- Supported the growth and promotion of several engineers- I also advocated for closer cross-functional collaboration between designers and engineers, bringing a partnership mindset to internal platforms like the design system- Established lightweight, iterative, and cross-functional planning & execution processes, keeping the team coordinated, autonomous, and organized with minimal meetings- I’m especially proud that one of my teams, Design System, achieved and maintained high internal design system satisfaction rates of 87-92% among engineers, and increased designer satisfaction from 62% to 87% through Figma-to-code parity investments. This high-performing team partnered with another Accessibility remediation team to achieve VPAT compliance, critical for our largest customers, and then took on the long-term responsibility to keep Asana accessible—all without needing additional people to do
