About Christopher Hira

Christopher graduated Cum Laude from San Jose State University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He started his professional career as an Intern and Staff Accountant with Boman Accounting Group, Inc. located in Campbell, CA, specializing in non-profit matters in the areas of audit, bookkeeping, consulting and tax. Christopher left the firm in 2018 to pursue opportunities to work with the tech giants of the Silicon Valley. He obtained his Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license in 2019 and joined PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP as part of their assurance practice where he currently holds the role of Assurance Manager. In this capacity, he has been involved in the audits of multinational public and private start-ups companies, including companies going through the SPAC/IPO process. Further, he leads the cultivation and expansion of a volunteer relationship between PwC and Year-Up, a regional non-profit, currently spanning multiple PwC offices across the country. In his free time, Christopher enjoys giving back by providing guidance to future accounting professionals. He has participated in several career panels and assisted in the teaching of an introductory accounting MBA class at San Jose State University. Christopher currently sits on the Advisory Council for Evergreen Community College School of Business and served as the Scholarship Director of the Silicon Valley Chapter of AFWA (Accounting Financial Women\'s Alliance).
