ABOUT HINNA HASAN
Hinna Hasan is a public health professional specializing in healthcare operations, system improvement, and equitable access to care. She brings a cross-cutting lens to every project she leads — shaped by frontline clinical experience, public health training, and a deep commitment to system transformation.Currently, Hinna supports quality improvement initiatives aimed at reducing wait times and strengthening access to Specialized Geriatric Services (SGS) across Toronto. Her work also includes managing a central intake system for SGS referrals and leading the development of educational resources to help healthcare workers better support older adults with responsive behaviours. Her research has focused on improving access and care for marginalized populations, including newcomers, racialized communities, and individuals living with complex chronic conditions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she managed mass vaccination clinic operations across Peel Region — one of Ontario’s most diverse and hardest-hit communities — ensuring an efficient and equitable rollout. Her earlier work also spans therapeutic recreation and frontline patient care.Hinna serves as Co-Chair of Emerging Health Leaders (EHL) Toronto, where she is leading a thoughtful and intentional rebuild of the chapter. Her vision is to create a dynamic space where early-career professionals can connect, grow their impact, and step into system-changing leadership roles. With a Master of Public Health and a track record of blending systems thinking with practical implementation, Hinna is passionate about driving innovation in healthcare — always keeping people at the centre of the process.
