About Himantika Mann
I am an art historian and curator-in-training with a keen interest in the intersections of historical and contemporary art. My experience spans research, documentation, conservation, and exhibition development, with a particular focus on South Asian and Southeast Asian art and material culture.Currently pursuing an MA in Curating Cultures at SOAS, University of London, I bring a strong academic foundation from my MA in History (Hindu College, University of Delhi) and Postgraduate Diploma in Museology and Conservation (CSMVS, Mumbai). My professional experience includes working as a Documentation Executive at Delhi Art Gallery (DAG) and Project Assistant at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), where I contributed to research, archiving, and exhibition planning.My research interests lie in medieval and modern/contemporary art, particularly how these seemingly distinct fields engage in dialogue.
