   As an Associate Analyst in Transaction Monitoring and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), the role focuses on identifying and investigating suspicious financial activity in compliance with regulatory standards and internal risk policies. The analyst supports the prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes by reviewing transactions, conducting customer risk assessments, and escalating cases as necessary.Key Responsibilities:1. Monitor customer transactions using AML systems to identify unusual or suspicious activity based on predefined scenarios and thresholds.2. Conduct initial investigation and analysis of transaction alerts to determine if further review or escalation is needed.3. Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews on high-risk customers, including detailed background checks, source of funds verification, and risk profiling.4. Prepare clear and concise case narratives and supporting documentation for internal reporting or regulatory submission (e.g, Suspicious Activity Reports - SARs).5. Liaise with compliance officers and risk managers to escalate high-risk cases and recommend appropriate actions.6. Update customer records and maintain documentation in line with internal policies and audit requirements.7. Stay current with evolving regulatory requirements (e.g, FATF, FinCEN, EU AML Directives) and apply them in day-to-day processes.Skills & Tools:1. Knowledge of AML laws and regulations (e.g, KYC, EDD, CDD, SAR, FATF guidelines)2. Experience using AML/transaction monitoring systems (e.g, Actimize, SAS, MANTAS, FircoSoft)3. Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.4. Proficiency in MS Excel and report-writing tools.5. Effective written and verbal communication for case documentation and escalation.
