As a Product Validation Engineer at Cummins, I am responsible for ensuring the performance, durability, and reliability of Cummins engines through rigorous testing and validation processes. I work closely with cross-functional platform teams to develop and execute validation plans, analyze test data, and provide critical feedback to improve Cummins products.Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive validation plans for engine testing, including performance, durability, and reliability assessments- Design and set up test rigs and equipment to conduct a variety of engine tests, including but not limited to performance, endurance, thermal cycling, and emissions testing- Conduct detailed analysis of test data to identify potential issues, root causes, and areas for improvement- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure test results are integrated into the product development process- Document and report test results, providing clear and actionable feedback to relevant stakeholders- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and Cummins’ internal quality guidelines- Continuously improve testing methodologies and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy- Participate in the development of new testing technologies and methods to stay at the forefront of engine validation- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with test equipment and procedures.
