The goal was to analyze business growth and mitigate regulatory risks related to compliance.• Eliminated any potential anti-money laundering risks by performing anomaly detection over the entire AWS seller/reseller population• Planned and successfully built secure pipelines to extract critical and restricted data from centralized data lake and/or S3 buckets to perform feature selection, customer segmentation and anomaly detection using 300+ features• Improvised improved the effectiveness of 45+ Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules by extracting and analyzing data through SQL and utilizing Python libraries. Statistical analysis, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and A/B testing were performed to enhance the overall yield.• Optimized the features of the existing Suspicious Activity Monitoring (SAM) model by incorporating the results of investigative outcomes and implementing Classification and Regression Tree (CART) modeling techniques. • Developed templates using Python (Jupyter Notebook) to automate the analysis and tuning of risk models, resulting in a 66% reduction in the tuning cycle and enabling our peers to efficiently perform these tasks.• Deployed dashboards to showcase metrics related to key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk assessments for new, active, and existing merchants or businesses. The dashboards were used to track alert volumes, monitor, and establish control mechanisms for Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR).
