Generation UK-India is new programme, delivered by the British Council and partners across UK and India. Launched on 13 November 2014 by Greg Clark, UK Minister for Universities, Science and Cities and welcomed by the Indian Minister for Human Resource Development Smriti Irani, the programme will support up to young people coming to India from the UK between 20••••20 to gain exposure, experience and skills. Functioning as a: o Programme Director managing entire operations of the programme including monitoring and evaluation of the programme. Accountable for: o Writing and reviewing partnership, bidding and key government official documents o Managing stakeholder relationship with Ministry of External Affairs, CII, OIFC, Association of Indian Universities, Corporate organisations. o Lead on Digital marketing and media communications for the programme in UK and India. o Managing a dispersed team in India and UK. o Worked with the team to successfully write a proposal for partnership worth GBP 4.5 million and the partnership was announced by PM Narendra Modi during his visit to UK in 2015. o Developing document control including documentation for monitoring and evaluation for the programme at regular intervals. o Evaluating risks associated with programme and writing risk assessments o Budget planning, forecasting and managing all financial matters of the programme. o Managing people: recruitment and selection o Participating in departmental meetings and leading meetings in order to review, discuss and report on performance, activities, issues, progress, needs, etc. o Organizing and chairing pre/post processing meetings with colleagues to discuss critical issues and recommend plan for resolution
