ABOUT HIMANSHU DESAI

I am a motivated and hardworking mechanical engineering graduate from VIT Vellore, currently working as an O&M Mechanical Engineer at Reliance Industries Limited in the Jamnagar Manufacturing Division—the world\'s largest refining complex. At the DTA Captive Power Plant, I am responsible for the maintenance and reliable operation of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Steam Boilers, and Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs), supporting the continuous power needs of a world-class industrial facility. With a strong foundation in mechanical systems and a passion for design, operations, and problem-solving, I thrive in fast-paced environments that demand precision and innovation. My experience working on advanced turbomachinery has also strengthened my long-standing interest in the aerospace domain. Driven by curiosity and a desire to contribute to cutting-edge technology, I plan to advance my career in the aerospace sector, where I can apply my skills in thermofluids, materials, and systems engineering to challenges in propulsion and high-performance systems. I’m committed to lifelong learning, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and delivering real-world impact through engineering.
