   Built a labeled video dataset for fire-related scene understanding by extracting frames and creating pixel-level segmentation masks for fire, smoke, and burnt regions- Performed video-based annotation, ensuring temporal consistency and class-level accuracy across frames- Analyzed visual challenges in segmenting dynamic regions (fire, smoke) versus static but irregular regions (burnt areas) under varying illumination and scene conditions- Designed and trained semantic segmentation models (e.g, U-Net–style architectures) using annotated video data- Evaluated model performance using standard segmentation metrics such as IoU and Dice score, and conducted qualitative error analysis (e.g, smoke vs. clouds, burnt regions vs. shadows)- Documented datasets, experimental setups, and results to ensure reproducibility of the research workflow- Ran experiments on GPU-based computing infrastructure and iteratively improved workflows based on faculty feedback.
