ABOUT HIMANGSHU KALITA
Himangshu has completed an LL.M. in Human Rights from the National Law University & Judicial Academy, Assam, India, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Law & Policy from NLU Delhi. He also holds a B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) in Constitutional Law and Political Science from Gauhati University, where he graduated with first-class honors.His research interests lie at the intersections of climate change, human rights, international law, and animal law. He is particularly committed to examining the legal, environmental, and human rights challenges faced by the North-Eastern region of India. Himangshu has presented his research at several international and national conferences, including those organized by the University of California Berkeley Centre on Comparative Equality, the University of Southampton, and the University of Melbourne. His writings have appeared in the Oxford Human Rights Hub, the LSE Human Rights Blog, and SCOPUS-indexed journals.Beyond research, Himangshu has actively participated in mooting, debating, and legal editing, having served as a Visiting Editor at the Trento Student Law Review in Italy.
