You have to dream before your dreams can come true.” - Dr APJ Abdul Kalam I am a small-town girl with a million dreams and the will to achieve them. I have always believed that each one of us has the power to make a difference in our lives and the world as a whole. My definition of an accomplished life is about lifting women up, working on something I feel passionate about, financial freedom, family time & world travel. Uplifting women is very close to my heart because I have friends, college mates, juniors, etc. who were married off early in their lives (because girls are supposed to be married by a certain age, according to their cultures and traditions). These girls had dreams and hopes of working in the corporate world, being financially independent, and a lot more. But they never could achieve those due to their personal reasons. Hence, I want to help women like those to become independent in every sense. “Be the girl that never gave up on her dreams.” But the biggest question was - How? How do I achieve these milestones? I belong to a middle-class family where my parents worked day and night to meet the ends, thus I was told that a government job is a perfect goal as it would be financially & ‘gender-wise’ wise. But the thought of getting one felt like being stuck in a room full of people I couldn’t relate to & the life of any government officer never came near what I wanted. Moreover, our surroundings have a way to tweak our Power of Uniqueness into a common mould. I was on the verge of being moulded when I took the reins in my hand and confidently walked away. Ever since I started understanding the world as we know it, I saw many people who were worth more than what they were in their lives. Subtly, this fed me the idea that I would never settle for anything less. So, I started looking for the answers in multiple places, people and whatnot. But the answers seem theoretical and didn’t bring any difference to the lives of these ‘advisers’. As it is said, when you know what you are looking for, you find it in the most unexpected ways. It worked for me as well. I found people who were walking the talk and were willing to guide me in the same direction. My current goal is to: 1. Grow as an individual every day 2. Go on a solo trip by Dec 2023 - Completed Nov 2022. Become Financially Independent by Jan 2027 In conclusion, I am so glad to be slowly working toward my life goals and interacting with people with the same dreams and mindset.
