Leads the organization in compliance with The Joint Commission, Medicare and Medicaid regulatory standards in the survey preparation process, as well as Pennsylvania Code and Federal regulatory standards. Develops and oversees the organization’s Emergency Preparedness Program, COVID-19 Protocol and Procedures including, Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) and Infection Control Programs.Collaborates with the executive team, clinical directors and managers, of the home care and home health interdisciplinary team to develop and implement standardized policies and procedures for regulatory compliance, evidence-based care, and standards of practice. Collects and analyzes data and utilizes outcome analysis to develop patient and employee education and Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives in cooperation with the clinical management team. Facilitates education and training for leadership and staff regarding regulatory issues, new statutes, reporting and intake protocols, monitoring and implementation of new or changing regulatory requirements, risk assessment and audit execution, risk treatment plans, corrective action plans, plans to prevent reoccurrence, policy and procedure maintenance, response and investigation procedures and compliance expectations related to quality and performance improvement.Oversees response to and documentation of external regulatory investigations, surveys, and audits. Conducts mock surveys and informal audits to identify vulnerabilities. Compiles all reports necessary to report audit outcomes and develops action plans based on findings. Responds to, tracks and trends Complaints and Compliance matters. Participates in and understands the business operations and strategy.
