About Hillary Sotello
I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and my professional experience is in project management of construction projects. For the past several years, I have been managing federally-funded infrastructure, housing projects, and public facilities projects for localities devastated by hurricanes and floods as well as for low-income communities. Infrastructure projects include road reconstruction, flood and drainage projects, and restoration of natural drainage waterways. Housing projects range from single-family home rehabilitation and reconstruction to new multi-family and mixed-use developments. Public facilities projects include medical clinics, community food pantries, and other types of local community structures. My experience is namely with HUD funding through the following local Texas state agencies: Texas Department of Agriculture (Community Development Block Grant or CDBG), the Texas General Land Office (CDBG Disaster Recovery or CDBG-DR), and the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (Community Development Block Grant CARES Act or CDBG-CV).
