ABOUT HILDEGARD MÜLLER
The automotive industry – and mobility itself – are undergoing what is probably the most comprehensive transformation in its history. New drive systems, digitization and automation are fundamentally re-writing the context – and at full speed. For me it is both a privilege and a unique opportunity to join in shaping this transformation as President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Today’s developments determine what the mobility of the future will be like – all over the world. I am very aware of the responsibility we bear in this process. And not only for more than people in Germany who are directly employed in the automotive sector, but also for all future generations that will live and will travel on this planet. We invented the car in Germany. Now we are re-inventing it. Our ambition must be to apply our innovations to help protect the climate as quickly as possible and to achieve climate neutrality, so that in the decades to come we can guarantee prosperity and social security. And to make individual mobility possible for people everywhere, enabling them to participate in society. Let\'s set things in motion.
