The APCL Group brings together A&P Group, Cammell Laird and Neway. My role is multifaceted ensuring that we attract, hire and retain the right talent, efficiently and effectively hiring across our various locations. A&P Group and Cammell Laird are the UK’s largest commercial ship building and ship repair operations, while Neway Industrial Services delivers a range of painting and blasting services across the UK. With locations in the North East, South West, North West APCL sustains the international defence and maritime community, underpinning the availability of naval fleets whilst maintaining the vital operations of the seaborne asset community. A&P and Cammell Laird continue their unwavering support of the Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary and its commercial customers. Today, A&P and Cammell Laird are delivering units for the future submarines program and units for the new class of the Royal Navy’s Frigates - global vessels designed for anti-submarine warfare. These programmes are being delivered on behalf of BAE. Companies within the APCL Group continue to develop their capabilities within the marine sector and are world leaders, specialising in military ship refit, commercial ship repair, upgrade and conversions.
