ABOUT HILDA CHARLES TIZEBA
I am a dedicated, passionate results driven leader with a powerful mastery in the art of persuasion, research, communication and critical engagement. I possess almost a decade’s experience in academia, empirical research, programme development, project management, and consultancy. My specialty lies in assisting industry and organisations identify gaps between theory and what’s on the ground to help them amplify the value of their services, analytic research, critical engagement with literature, and persuasion to influence policy reform in the development sector and help industry partners see things from a different perspective. Additionally, I have great skill in critical thinking, critical evidence-based argumentation, innovative programme ideas, time management, excellent communication and emotional intelligence. • I am harnessing valuable experience in empirical research, critical engagement and project management working in a three-year project under the supervision of Prof. Anne-Maree Farrell, the head of the Medical Law Jurisprudence at the University of Edinburgh and Dr. Annie Sorbie and interned at the United Nations International Law Commission as a research associate. • I am a skilled international consultant having worked for the World Bank Group as a short-term legal consultant in Public Private Partnerships Contract Management, trained officers in Zanzibar from the Ministry of Finance and developed impact stories for two years since June 2019-June 2021.• I have acquired experience in the international development sector and leadership through founding my own non-profit organisation, Guided Path since 2020 where I have liaised with various donor agencies, designed, monitored and implemented programmes on youth and mental health in Tanzania, built relationships in the development sector, mentored and supervised volunteers and associates in programme delivery.• I enjoy and thrive working in the intertwines of academia, policy advocacy, industry and international development.
