I seek to forge meaningful connections. Connections between people. Connections with nature. And often connections that combine the two, bringing folks together while experiencing the transformative power of being outdoors. As a journalist and communications consultant, my work builds bridges between people who have a story to share and new audiences; between complex data and its understandable, actionable counterpart. With experience reporting in more than 20+ countries, my storytelling puts people, solutions, and empathy-building at its core.🥾 As a Backroads trip leader, I create spaces where guests can come together, bike and hike to their heart’s content, and learn about what makes a region special. From group management to public speaking to logistical oversight, a Backroads trip is an accelerated exercise in facilitation and community-building between strangers-turned-friends. As an imperfect human, I try to use my energy to better my communities, and seek to expand my worldview with deep listening and curiosity. Multi-day hikes are my ultimate source of personal wellbeing, and are my favourite way to connect with self, other people, and the world.
