In my work with individuals and couples, I provide a safe space to uncover core issues, limiting beliefs, and unhealthy patterns that keep you feeling out of alignment or stuck. I utilize a range of modalities primarily based on attachment theory. Our attachment styles are formed during early childhood development and fall on a spectrum from insecure to secure attachment. Understanding one’s attachment style provides tremendous insight as to why “we feel the way we do” and how we regulate our emotions in relationships. Essentially, it gives an emotional blueprint as to how we bond and relate to other human beings in friendships and romantic relationships. Fortunately, attachment styles are malleable; therefore, we can learn what’s called an Earned Secure attachment style if we operate from an insecure attachment.Helping clients learn to trust themselves and successfully utilize the tools learned in our sessions is an integral part of my treatment planning.
