ABOUT HILARY LAWSON

I\'m an award-winning communicator and hold a Master of Global Affairs degree from the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto. I combine my diverse policy background with my ability to tell compelling stories through comms. I have over 7 years of experience as an advisor to Members of Parliament, Cabinet Ministers, and other policy practitioners on a wide set of issues. I\'ve advised top decision-makers on subjects like disinformation, countering violent extremism, international human rights law, corrections and policing, and national security policy. I\'m also a copywriter by trade, with extensive experience creating written content for social media, news, policy documents, press releases, academic reports, and other comms products. I\'m skilled in open-source investigation and research techniques, data analysis, and social media engagement. I\'m fully bilingual and have a C-C-C language profile (French as a second language).
