As a person with a lifelong passion for plants and a keen interest in locally-grown produce and small farms, I am honored to serve in my second three-year term on the governance board for one of the largest botanical gardens in the United States.I am a member of two advisory groups in addition to my board responsibilities: the Market Development and Communications Committee and The Gardens at Chatfield Committee (with an emphasis on the Community Supported Agriculture program). The Denver Botanic Gardens is a Tier One scientific and cultural institution in Denver, and during my time with the Gardens, I have participated in an aggressive capital campaign that raised tens of millions of dollars for much-needed new projects, and have served as a dedicated advocate for the healthy-food initiatives at the Gardens at Chatfield.
