About Hideyuki Igawa
Since I joined Takeda Pharmaceutical Company in 2003, I have been working on preclinical drug discovery. I discovered 2 clinical candidates, and led chemistry team and then whole project identifying many preclinical drug candidates. During this experience, I lead and managed cross-functional and multi-cultural internal research team as well as CROs. In addition, I have experience of not only small molecule but also peptide science, and extensive knowledge of cutting-edge drug discovery techniques such as biophysics, drug delivery, and drug targeting including ADC. I joined Tri-I Institutional Therapeutics Discovery Institution (Tri-TDI) in 2017 in NY, and work as Director of medicinal chemistry collaborating with PIs from various therapeutic areas in Tri-I community (Cornell medical college, MSK cancer center, Rockefeller University). Among projects I engaged, 2 projects from Takeda and Tri-I TDI were out-licensed to biotech companies.
