Director of Data Science and AI Strategy with R.D. Offutt Company within IT, an agriculture and equipment company with numerous business facets and a spectacular understanding of the importance of data to making decisions. I have more than 25 years’ experience developing and designing data platforms for analytics for internal and external customers using the Microsoft stack and a variety of visualization tools. Now focusing on the Azure platform and the Microsoft Power Platform. Origins: Eight years of customer, product, & channel reporting as Financial Reporting Analyst, including customer consulting on report automation, and then shifting to a focus on BI systems within IT to leverage SQL Server technologies. I worked as an information architect on a cross-functional team to deliver Business Intelligence to internal Microsoft groups, focusing on Business Solutions division customers, partners, products and service metrics. It would be characterized as an agile platform. A couple of highlights during my time in engineering: I collaborated on the external publish of the Business Intelligence Reference Architecture documentation, along with other architects within Microsoft. I also joined the Design Rangers - a group of technology specialists within Microsoft IT working to improve the documentation of business processes, information models, database and system documentation.I departed to work as Enterprise Architect at Intelligent InSites, a software startup that leveraged real-time location software within healthcare environments to improve efficiency for staff, equipment and patients. It\'s an exciting platform with expanding use case scenarios and tremendous demand, with an added challenge for real time intelligence. The company was acquired by Infor. Since joining R.D. Offutt as Data Scientist, I completed a data science certification and was tasked to create and lead a team to architect a company data platform, analytics team and data science initiatives.
