Assists the security department to ensure compliance with legislated security requirements to maintain necessary government certificates and facility clearances.Coordinates security and clerical staff and contractors for Seaspan’s Lower Mainland facilities and work sites, including scheduling, payroll, safety, uniforms, and disciplinary/corrective actions.Supports onsite security and provides security related services as required.Assists with site security training and the direction of any security personnel required for projects, including security contractors.Assists in Maintaining facility security plans, instruction manuals, security orders, and security procedures for North Shore facilities in coordination with the Security Manager.Assists in ensuring proper operation of access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems and guard reporting systems. Manages requests for service for all affected security systems.Assists in the maintenance of master key systems, supplies, and records.Reviews all security reports and conducts preliminary investigations, including following up action items, and implementation of recommendations.Liaises with appropriate company personnel with respect to compliance with CSP (Contract Security), MTSR (Marine Transportation Security Regulations) and ISPS (International Ship and Port Security) code.Fulfill MFSO duties under MARSEC and conducts required drills, exercises, audits, reviews and documentation.Responds to on-site emergency and security issues and assists in investigations into security incidents.
