ABOUT SEAN HEWLETT

I am a passionate and research-driven interior design professional with a Master’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Manitoba. My previous works have explored the intersection of design and mental health, with a particular focus on how emerging treatments—such as psychedelic psychotherapy—shape clinical environments. My master’s thesis centered on designing a PTSD treatment facility for healthcare workers, incorporating salutogenic design principles to support holistic healing.In addition to my research interests, I have nearly three years of experience as a restaurant designer and project coordinator for one of Canada’s largest quick-service restaurant brands. This role has strengthened my expertise in hospitality design, project management, and brand-driven interior solutions. I am also deeply interested in the evolving landscape of hotel and hospitality design in the post-COVID-19 era.My background as a small business owner has given me extensive experience in relationship-building, with a proven track record of repeat client engagement in furniture design for both retail and hospitality sectors. With expertise in public speaking, design, and sales, I bring a multifaceted approach to my work—bridging creativity, research, and strategic business development.
