About Hetvi Shah
I’ve always been more interested in the “why” behind the numbers than the numbers alone. That’s been the thread through everything I’ve done, from valuing companies at AFCO Investment Services to organising college summits and fundraisers that had to break even and still make an impact. I recently graduated with an MSc in Banking & Finance from King’s College London, building on a BBA in Finance from NMIMS. Along the way, I’ve worked across financial analysis, investment banking, e-commerce, HR, and family business strategy. At AFCO, I worked as a Financial Analyst on DCF valuations, financial models, and research across over 20 companies. Earlier roles included performing end-to-end financial statement and market analysis for an e-commerce company to identify growth and margin levers, profiling founders and evaluating deals during an investment banking internship, and supporting strategy and management accounting for a growing business. Academic projects on topics like sustainability and economic growth, wealth management, and technical analysis of Indian stocks helped me connect theory with real decisions.Alongside this, I’ve led sponsorships, student committees, and NGO fundraising drives, experiences that taught me how to take ownership, communicate clearly, and keep teams moving in the same direction. I’m at my best when I’m doing three things at once: understanding how a business really works, breaking that down into numbers and drivers, and then communicating the “so what” in a way people can act on. But what really drives me is curiosity, ownership, and the desire to leave every project more structured and scalable than I found it.
