Passionate of the Legal Field, I am a young professional with growing experience in the Juvenile Justice system. I also have a background in criminal Justice following with certifications and degree from RCC to University of Massachusetts Boston. I have a driven experience and knowledge in Haitian Public Law as well as International Relations Law. I completed a Nonprofit management and Public Administration program at Suffolk University. I am currently enrolled in a Master Program at Merrimack College to become a Licensed Mental Health counselor, a tool that will be useful for the population and community that I am working with. I accumulated experience working with population from 13 to 21 years old in a correctional setting as their advocates and advisor while following the procedures and policy of the Department of Youth Services (DYS), that leading me to administrative tasks for a Non-Profit Organization working directly with youth and families in the community on the behalf of Department of Youth Services (DYS) and Commonwealth Corporation by providing the committed youth by supporting them finding their career pathway.With a growing experience in the juvenile justice system, I am currently supporting the youth in different aspects of their commitment from their time assignments to clinical resources education and career development resources and walking their family throughout the commitment process in my role of Youth Service Caseworker for the Department of Youth Services.

   Complete diagnostic assessments on youth committed to the agency by conducting home visits and assessments. Interview family members and caregivers with a focus on such areas as developmental and behavioral history, family and educational history and peer relationships, delinquency behavior and substance abuse; review medication and medical history to provide appropriate services to the youth based on assessment and to determine the youth’s risk and/or needs.Develop a service delivery plan and monitor implementation by reviewing and updating plan goal.Request authorization to issue warrants and assists in coordination of youth apprehension with local, state police and other agency law enforcement including Department of Youth Services (DYS) personnel to ensure both youth and public safety. Initiate the issuance and/or cancellation of parole violation and escape warrants and detainers.Develop and maintain professional relationships and open communication with juvenile justice system stakeholders including courts, police departments, district attorneys’ offices, parents, schools, government agencies and community resources to facilitate continuum of care for youth, to resolve problem situations and to determine availability of resources.
