I’m Het Tikawala, a software engineer with a passion for transforming complex challenges into elegant solutions. Currently pursuing my B.S. in Computer Science at San Jose State University (GPA: 3.8), I’ve had the opportunity to dive deep into the tech world through various internships and projects. My journey has been fueled by a love for coding and a desire to make technology user-friendly and efficient.During my time as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Expedia Group, I co-designed a Kotlin-based microservice that not only improved our system’s scalability but also enhanced data retrieval efficiency by 32% through optimized GraphQL queries. I also spent time as a Frontend Developer Intern at Alpha Gen AI where I crafted a seamless app interface using React Native—transforming Figma designs into functional features while ensuring an exceptional user experience.Beyond coding, I’ve embraced leadership roles within student organizations at SJSU. As the Director of Business Affairs, I chaired operations committees to analyze departmental revenue strategies and implemented processes that improved operational efficacy across the board.
