ABOUT NATALIE RAINES

I am a physicist turned R&D leader who translated early hands-on experience in research and an enthusiasm for collaboration into strategic commercial software development leadership. In my current role, I lead a dynamic team responsible for research, design, and development of Ansys Sherlock, a multi-million-dollar software for electronics reliability analysis. Sherlock empowers designers to accurately model printed circuit boards (PCBs) and assemblies to predict failure risks due to thermal, mechanical, and manufacturing stressors-all before prototyping. Prior to joining Ansys, I was the Product Manager for DfR Solutions, LLC, leader in quality, reliability, and durability solutions for the electronics industry. I frequently engaged with clients and strategic partnerships to identify and understand their technical challenges and actionable issues. I assured that DfR\'s product road map solved customer problems and aligned well with the industries’ evolving needs. DfR Solutions was acquired by Ansys in May 2019. I completed my B.A. in Astronomy and Physics at Boston University, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physics at Lehigh University. I enjoy anything Sci-Fi and traveling.
