At age of 21, he came to Los Angeles on a scholarship to study a Bachelor of Film and Television at Columbia College-Hollywood. Very soon, he was featured as an entertainment correspondent in Los Angeles for prestigious broadcast media in Latin America. His mission to interview star figures began with Sir Alfred Hitchcock. As a Voice Over artist in commercials, Hernán began a meteoric career almost by accident, in which he received a Clio Award, two Don Belding Awards, and an Award of Excellence from General Motors. As a writer, Hernán has been recognized with three Emmy® Awards. His autobiographical short film \"Remember This Voice\"(produced by The Hollywood Reporter), has received multiple Jury Awards at film festivals in the United States, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Croacia, Dubai, England, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Panama, Mexico, Nepal, Singapore, Sweden and Turkey.
