ABOUT HERMINE G. ZOSSOUNGBO

I am a sociologist and international consultant specializing in gender, development, African diasporas, remittances, women’s leadership, and business development. With more than twenty years of experience across the United States, France, and Benin, I work at the intersection of research, policy, and program implementation to strengthen women’s empowerment and diaspora-driven development.I have collaborated with global institutions such as the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank Group, and U.S. federal agencies (DOJ, FEMA, DoD), providing expertise in multilingual communication, cross-cultural analysis, capacity building, and strategic program design. My work has supported economists, policymakers, and development practitioners preparing for assignments in Africa and other international contexts.As a social entrepreneur, I founded initiatives that have empowered more than 110 women through programs focused on resilience, economic opportunity, gender-based violence prevention, and leadership.
