About Herman Singh

Experienced educator and economic consultant with experience in academia and consulting roles. Currently serving as a tenure-track professor at Golden West College and lecturing at CSU Long Beach. In my role, I specialize in teaching a wide range of topics in economics, including macroeconomics, microeconomics, econometrics, and economic development.In addition to my academic role, I have also worked as an economic consultant, providing expert analysis and advice to clients in various industries. My consulting experience has allowed me to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios, enhancing my ability to provide practical insights to students in the classroom.Previously, I served as the Umoja Coordinator, where I played a pivotal role in fostering inclusivity and support for underrepresented Black and African American student populations. Through mentorship programs, community outreach initiatives, and advocacy efforts, I worked to create a supportive environment where all students could thrive academically and personally.My overarching goal is to empower the next generation of students by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to succeed. I am deeply passionate about guiding students through their academic journey and helping them achieve their full potential.
