ABOUT HERMAN GYR

Herman Gyr is a co-founder of the Enterprise Development Group/EDG in Palo Alto, California. He works with businesses and leaders to transform potential crises into opportunities for reinvention. Whether it is impacts from changes in the global economy, technological advancements, shifts in customer or employee expectations, or the climate crisis, his interventions aim to create new possibilities for enterprises and those invested in them.For over 40 years, Herman and his teams have been instrumental in redesigning a significant number of enterprises (120 on 5 continents). His clients have included Apple, the BBC, BP, Canyon Ranch, Delta Airlines, Johnson and Johnson, Kaiser Permanente, Lockheed Martin, Panera, Southern California Edison, SwissPost, Stanford University, Swisscom and Toyota, to name a few. From start-ups and family owned businesses, to universities and multinational corporations, Herman has advised clients to shape moments of disruption into opportunities for lasting success.To achieve maximum impact in the shortest possible time Herman, together with a global team of colleagues, has co-developed a number of simple tools that can be easily learned by large numbers of people and quickly applied in their daily work. The Enterprise Development Model is a framework for mapping a company’s future and enrolling leaders and other stakeholders to pursue that future with courage and commitment. The CO-STAR method provides users with a disciplined approach to innovation that enables them to develop and improve ideas and achieve significant returns quickly. Herman is a frequent speaker focusing on the regenerative enterprise, strategic thinking, innovation and business transformation in the digital and regenerative eras. He is a co-author of The Dynamic Enterprise: Tools for Turning Chaos into Strategy, and Strategy into Action, as well as several articles and book chapters on innovation tools and leadership.What keeps him going?
