About Herbert Kalman
During my public accounting career, I helped drive value for my clients with different approaches to business and tax issues. I encouraged clients to be more professional in their governance, financial reporting, and financing. As an Independent Director, I have helped drive value by different approaches to corporate finance and by challenging conventional wisdom when appropriate. Challenging conventional wisdom is in my DNA. Thoughtful discussion can improve a process with or without a major change. I have been involved successful succession planning and have also seen the impact of companies who have ignored such planning. During my public accounting career, I was an entrepreneur, twice started accounting firms and growing them organically and through merger and acquisition, eventually selling them to national accounting firms. During that time, I developed skills in management and operations, accounting and finance, business strategy, business development, business judgment, and risk management. I look forward to using these skills, as an Independent Director or Advisory Director to assist in growing companies value.
