   I deploy finance, harness research and data, and effect program management as a means to bridge strategy and operations. Finance and Program ManagementAs a member of the Africa Region\'s vice presidency team, I managed the US $250 million Africa Catalytic Growth Fund (ACGF) and the Plan Africa US $33 million debt-for-development swap fund. The ACGF and Plan Africa financed 18 operations in 19 countries that addressed obstacles to growth and strengthened the position of vulnerable populations in fragile and conflict-affected states. Research and DataI researched the role that private actors play to solve development problems in Sub-Saharan Africa. The research clarified how an organization\'s motivations informed its approaches and how these affected the scale and sustainability of interventions. We are using insights gained from the research to enhance engagement with the private sector, maximize finance for development, and identify development and business nexuses.
