I lead the architectural team at glamping consultancy Crown & Canopy. My work involves designing cabins and treehouses from concept to construction, and provide glamping development advice to our clients. We offer an end to end service to land owners interested in creating a glamping business. This often begins with an initial site assessment, where I or another consultant will visit the site and assess the potential of a site. Then, we conduct a full appraisal, including a planning research report and business forecasting, using live market data, to advise on the best development approach. If bespoke cabin or treehouse designs are desired, myself or a member of the architectural design team will guide clients through the design process, using concepts sketches and 3D models to develop and refine designs. Then the final planning ready drawings will be submitted by our specialist rural planning team, who will secure planning permission.Once approved, the architectural team will continue to develop the technical designs and coordinate other professional inputs, ready for pricing and construction, then oversee the quality control of the build. Finally, once complete, we hand our clients over to our sister company Canopy & Stars, the UK\'s leading glamping holiday agency, to market the space and generate bookings.
