Henry was involved with the CPIQ (originally \"Camera Phone Image Quality\") working group starting in 2006, when the working group was part of the I3A (International Imaging Industry Association). He has been involved in standardizing methods for evaluating perceptual image quality and implementing perceptual image quality evaluation metrics within Imatest software & test charts. The working group transferred to in 2013. In 2016 the first edition of the CPIQ standard 18••••16 was published. In 2017 Henry took over as working group chair. In 2023 he oversaw the publication of the second edition of the CPIQ standard. In 2024, the working group began to investigate additional perceptual image quality aspects relating to HDR and Sharpening, and the group renamed itself to \"Camera Perceptual Image Quality\".

ABOUT HENRY KOREN

Henry Koren has 25 years of experience in software engineering. For the last 18 years, Henry has worked to develop Imatest into a global leader in digital image quality analysis. Henry was responsible for integrating Imatest image quality analysis with high-volume manufacturing systems, where he learned about supply chain management and the challenge of maintaining high standards of image quality without sacrificing yield. In addition, Henry has worked to develop image quality testing standards as chair of the 1858 Camera Phone Image Quality (CPIQ) working group and Liason with the ISO TC42/WG18 committee. At Imatest, Henry serves as Chief Product Officer, where he has helped expand solutions for testing camera systems with long-range, high resolution, high dynamic range, and wide fields of view.
