ABOUT HENRY KONAN

Innovation and the ability to adapt to changes will be the driving force for the energy industry to sustain long term generating returns for investors while being a good neighbor to the community and taking care of the environment. During my 20 years of experience in the oil industry, I have worked with a talented and diverse group of people in various basins. I have come to learn that taking an idea from generation to maturation to exploitation requires not only technical skills, but also team creativity, flexibility and agility to adapt to the constant changes.The various roles that I have been blessed to occupy in my career have taught me to continuously challenge the status-quo with new ideas and science tested concepts. While succeeding now is important, I do believe it’s critical to always think and plan for long term by adapting to the changing environment. Adapting to new ideas and developing your knowledge base creates a combo of success and sustainability. My experience in the Business Unit helped me to maximize value on existing assets, by improving efficiency with cash flow, reserves growth and capital cost saving. My time in the New Ventures and Exploration led to finding, maturing and exploiting new opportunities through both success and failure. My MBA in finance balances my technical background to maximize business development in managing people, assets, risks and potential returns on investment.
