About Henry T.
Hello! I am a mechanical engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). I currently work at the National Ignition Facility, managing and fielding experiments to assess material effects from extreme nuclear environments. In past roles, I was responsible for flight test hardware from cradle to grave, coordinating activities across multiple Department of Energy facilities. I also tested and integrated MEMS load sensors into LLNL test platforms. As a graduate student, I prototyped a sensor system to measure displacements to assist Caltrans in monitoring bridge settlement. This was a very exciting project, and after graduation, I worked weekends with other PhD students to push this work along. We published our results in March 2024.
