Economic Development• Advocate on behalf of the LIC businesses focusing mainly on industrial businesses to elected officials and city agencies on policy, neighborhood improvements, and for business-to-business connections• Monitored and kept stakeholders informed on rezoning efforts, City of Yes, Blue Highway, Newtown Creek Superfund site Cleanup, commercial overnight parking, DCP’s Industrial study, and more• Survey stakeholders and analyze data to determine key infrastructure and service needs. Operating the BID/ Expanding the BID• Led the completion of the LIC BID expansion to the eastern Industrial Business Zone. Reach majority and broad base support from business and property owners for the BID. Wrote a District Plan, created a billing spreadsheet and put together other official documents to enter the legislative phase. Organized, prepared testimony and expedited the legislative process.• Sent out and selected vendors through extensive RFP process, forming a Board of Directors, finalized service plan, and coordinated with city agencies to finalize a service plan.
