My practice areas include private equity and venture capital transactions, securities law compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and other business transactions. I co-chair my firm\'s Fund Formation and Investment Management Practice Group and routinely represent institutional investors with their investments in private equity, venture capital, hedge funds and various other types of alternative investment funds. I also regularly represent general partners in the formation and ongoing management of private investment funds. In the area of investment fund formation, I am also experienced in the formation, licensing and management of small business investment companies licensed by the U.S. Small Business Administration. My representation of general partners includes assisting them with a variety of general corporate law and employment matters.In addition to my fund investment work, I also routinely assist clients with securities law compliance, venture capital investments and mergers and acquisitions.I am admitted to practice law in North Carolina.
