ABOUT HENRY METZHEISER

Job Experience: I worked at Stock and Trade Design Company for 3 months during the 2021 summer. At Stock and Trade, I worked as a Warehouse mover as well as helping out in customer service. I learned a lot about what goes on behind the scenes of a successful company and how to treat customers in ways that will make them come back. During the summer of 2022, my good friend and I started a pressure washing business. Through this job, I learned about how to successfully start and run a business. I learned a lot about marketing and advertisement, and also built hard working practical skills on the job. During the summer of 2023, I worked a similar job but took a different approach. Instead of waiting for customers to reach out to me, I decided to go door to door in different neighborhoods and pitch my idea to whoever listened. Aside from pressure washing driveways, I also offered to wash out trash cans. The trash cans ended up being my best service and I considered the drive way jobs to be a bonus. The door to door aspect of this job taught me a lot about dealing with failure and how to learn from it instead of dwelling.
