About Henry J. Bochner

I’m Henry and as a therapist, I aspire to be genuine and thoughtful in each of my interactions. While helping people, I am positive, authentic, and want to truly be empathetic in understanding your recent or past hardships. I have the most experience working with children between the ages of 8-13, specifically those from broken families or with trauma/attachment issues. I also work with younger and older teenagers, in addition to adults of all ages. Those who see me might have had repeated trauma at an early age. I have also been developing my skills in working with couples and families.My orientation comes from a postmodern systemic and person-centered perspective, which means that I believe every individual’s issues can be affected by other influences outside of the family or within it. I begin by seeing the client through a narrative therapy lens, then incorporate other modalities. I believe that the family system is highly influential. I hope to be as transparent about my style as any therapist can be, and to gain an understanding of you, as a person. I will do my best to understand your personal values, beliefs, and preferences, as well as your cultural background. I look forward to meeting you!
